The red kiwi is absolutely safe to sonsume as it is not genetically modified fruit. The red flesh came from a unique and naturally occurring pigment , called anthocyanin, within the fruit. It is the result of cross-pollination of existing kiwi species , with its offspring inheriting genetic features such as consistency in growing , sweet taste and greater storage resistance.
